Houseplants
Even if you don't have a yard, you can grow plants indoors! Many plants are better suited for cool, shady places and will flourish indoors with proper care.
For more information about plants that thrive indoors or in small containers, see Indoor Gardens and Container Gardening.
For information about disease, insects, and pest control, see Lawn & Garden Problems and the Houseplant Pests entry in the A - Z Index.
